Nail Enhancements & Manicures - Rayleigh, Essex

Training & Courses Completed

I wanted to let everyone know what i have done to get to where i am today, and maybe inspire anyone interested in doing nails to start off on their own journey.

I started out with Star Nails in January 2004 and completed a 3 month course which covered Manicure, Acrylic nails & Nail Art. I then got family and friends to allow me to practice on them, everything i had learnt about doing nails for about 6 months before i started to do nails for the general public.

In January 2005, I then trained with Professionails and did their Gel conversion course. I learnt to sculpt, repair work, enhancements and the use of coloured gels too.

I decided after a while that i needed to find a better quality system than the Star Nails acrylic i was using, so tried many different ones, but found i loved EZ Flow. So in October 2005 i did the EZ Flow Acrylic conversion. I have an excellent trainer called Georgie Smedley who is based in Enfield. Georgie is always on the end of the phone or email if i have any problems or just need advice.

I also did another course with Professionails for Pedicure in March 2006, as i felt i needed to add still to my repertoire.

At this point i had decided to become a better nail tech and go on to do my Masters in all the systems, Gel, Fiberglass and Acrylic. I did further courses with EZ Flow to get closer to doing my Masters. I did the Gel course and the Fiberglass course in January 2007.

Then i took my Masters in June/July 2007 which consists of 4 courses: Design, Gel, Fiberglass and Acrylic. It goes into the chemistry side of nails more in depth, as well as advanced techniques with dealing with all sorts of nail types.

I have completed my Masters now so i am officially an EZ Flow Grand Master Artist.

The next step of my journey is to become an educator with EZ Flow, as i feel they are the top innovators within this industry and their products in quality and training.
